Pool covers

Swimming pools gain heat naturally during the day by absorbing the infrared radiation from the sun. The heat gain by the sun can be increased by using a solar cover since such a cover will let the sunlight penetrate the pool through its transparent surface and keep reflected sunlight from the pool bottom within the pool by reflecting it back to the pool-bottom (the bottom side of the solar cover is reflecting). This way solar-covered outdoor pool gains almost twice the amount of the sun's energy than a screened or uncovered pool gains. The net result in periods of sunshine with a solar cover is a pool that is 6-8 °C warmer than its screened counterpart.
This additional heat gain is free and should not be wasted.

Solar (or Bubble Covers) are made of two sandwiched sheets of polyethylene or similar polymer, one flat top surface and a bottom sheet that is vacuumed into a matrix of air filled bubbles. These small capsules of air give the cover its buoyancy. At the same time the trapped air acts like many miniature greenhouses, turning light energy from the sun into heat energy. The increased underside surface area transfers this heat into the pool water below. The cover also seals the surface of the pool, cutting evaporation to a minimum, which saves the vast proportion of heat, and chemical that is lost this way.
The thickness of the solar cover will affect its life expectancy as will UV stability.

This Cover is 400 micron thick and weighs 370 grams per square meter. The solar cover is totally translucent to retain maximum solar gain. For your convenience we recommend using solar covers with a reel system.

This Cover gives you the highest quality and huge durability. The cover is 500 micron thick and weighs 520 grams per square meter. This cover has a tough top surface that gives incredible durablility. For your convenience we recommend using solar covers with a reel system.

The reel comes complete with connectors for new or existing covers.
There are 4 versions available; one extending from 4 to 5.5 meter, one extending from 5 to 6,5 meter, one extending from 5,5 to 7,7 meter and one extending from 6,6 to 8,5 meter.
